Investigating Japanese Latin American Internment During WWII by Tiffany Hsieh, Mar 28, 2008 (8:00am)

This bill creates a commission to investigate the treatment of Japanese Latin Americans during WWII and determine possible reparations. During WWII the US forcibly removed Latin Americans of Japanese descent from their homes into internment camps in order to be used in prisoner exchanges between the US and Japan. This little known story deserves to be told to a much larger audience for its blatant human rights violations.
