Summary
Amends the Federal Water Pollution Control Act (popularly known as the Clean Water Act) to prohibit the issuance of a permit under such Act for a discharge associated with the mining of a sulfide ore body within 20 miles of any of the Great Lakes unless the applicant demonstrates to the satisfaction of the Administrator (or the state in the case of an approved permit program) that the mining activity will not result in acid mine drainage into the Lakes.
